First Phase for the Secure Document Portal (SDP) was designed, developed, tested, and deployed into production in a 6 month period.

SDP - developed for an anonymous 3rd party mortgage company- was designed and developed to provide the following functionality:
- A web based GUI to enable customer to upload the files post authentication.
- Employees to receive and download the consumer files uploaded by the customer.
- Post Internal review and send the file for on field validations to field contractors in a secure electronic way.
- Contractors could publish their reports back to the employees for a specific file.
- Central application/location to maintain user access to various documents and customer information.
- Reduce Time Service from 5-8 working days to 3-5 working days.
- Publish the end results and reports back to the customer in a secure electronic way using the portal.
SITUATION
The customer was a Post-Closing Quality Control provider. Multiple customers were obliged (by law) to have 10% of their total mortgage loan files audited post closing. The clients originally mailed their files to the customer on weekly basis. The information would then be re-entered by the customer to create a record. Post internal validations, the request for field validations using contractors for employment, property, and occupancy were mailed by the employees. The contractors were required to mail the results back. After performing the required checks the customer was required to provide a weekly report back to the customer.
SOLUTION
CCSI personal proposed a Secure Portal Access to carry out the above mentioned
operations using the Microsoft SharePoint Portal. The Share Point was used to
provide the customer a custom portal per their preference. A workflow was also
implemented for the customer to facilitate and manage document tracking. Post
complete implementation CCSI assisted customer with user training and migration as
well.
This solution was designed with four different levels of user access within the portal
The primary security user levels were the administrators and users at the customer
location.
The first security level was for the Clients. The authorized users for the client were
allowed to upload the files for QC. The authorized users could then retrieve the
results back once the same were posted back by the customer.
The user could also send the notifications and request documents to On Field
contractors to assist with fresh appraisal reports, employment verification, and
occupancy reports. The On field contractors could perform the required operations
and then could submit the reports back to the customer.
SDP allowed the user information to be passed to the application as an XML thereby
allowing a user to launch a given application. Multiple integrated applications could
be invoked from within one another with SDP acting as the designated router.
